Carrie Clark – Lonesome Lovers
Carrie Clark is watching you. Oh, maybe not literally, but one constant running throughout “Between The Bed Sheets & Turpentine” is the Seattle songwriter’s keen eye for the telling detail and quirks of human nature. These 13 originals span a gamut of styles, from classic country (“I’m A Lark”, “Where Are You”) and surging rock (“What Have We Done”, “Down At My Knees”) to mischievous music hall numbers (“The Night Before”) and jazz (“The Stranger”), but all of them showcase her astute powers of observation. Bonefish
Bonefish is an Americana influenced rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. The band was formed four years ago by songwriter, singer and guitarist Bie Karlsson, with a past in top-10 Swedish album selling rock band “Docenterna”. Bonefish are influenced by everything from early blues and rock, through 70’s and 80’s legends like Television, Talking Heads and T Bone Burnett. Among more recent day influences it’s possible to mention Dinosaur Jr, Arcade Fire and Queens Of The Stone Age. Nevertheless Bonefish has a unique sound thanks to Bie Karlsson’s song writing qualities and the band’s authentic love of performance. More information at Hemifran.
Slowman – På Svenska
Swedish guitarist, singer and songwriter Slowman – aka Svante Törngren – has made himself a name on the European blues scene with a broad range of americana, blues, rock, soul and altcountry. But this spring, Slowman releases new material entirely in Swedish, with personal depictions of Stockholm, something the artist claims craved his native language. An EP with 3 Swedish titles – “Månguld”, “Blues Från Östermalm” and “Hem Till Hornstull” – is launched on the 12th of April. The solid and rich production reaches radio, as well as print and online media, through promotion by Hemifrån, and is distributed by Plugged Records through the usual online record sites. A full length album is planned for September 2014. More information at Hemifran.

Dougie definitely does the job.” ~ David Crosby “I’ve Got A Picture” is a collection of songs from acclaimed singer-songwriter Doug Ingoldsby. Personal tunes that address matters of the heart. Kenny Loggins, Jeff Pevar, Eugene Ruffolo, Jesse Siebenberg, Ben Wisch and many others add their gifts to this engaging group of songs. More information at Hemifran.
West Of Eden – Songs From Twisted River
An impressive string of great musicians lined up behind West of Eden to further enhance the results. ”Songs From Twisting River” features exclusive guest appearances from among others Michael McGoldrick from Mark Knopfler’s band, Ron Block of Alison Krauss & Union Station and Kate Rusby.
Although much has changed – members leaving and tragically passing away – West of Eden’s main ingredients remain. This time, however, they have taken a courageous step to the side, found a narrower, and perhaps little more winding road where the song in its purity is more in focus than ever before.
