Henrik Bank ready with new single – a tribute to life in small communities
On September 19, Henrik Bank will release his new single “Small Town Lights” via Gateway Music – on the very same day he celebrates his birthday. The single marks the first release since Henrik’s second album My Kind of Heaven and paves the way for the next chapter in his musical journey.
A song about presence and roots
“Small Town Lights” is written in collaboration with Mogens Binderup, who is also behind the production. The two have previously had success with, among others, the single “2-4-7”, which received strong airplay both in Denmark and abroad.
This time Henrik turns his gaze toward small communities, where togetherness and presence take center stage. The lyrics paint pictures of everyday scenes from small towns – from dust on the dashboard to friendly chatter in the supermarket. The song captures the essence of a life where the stars shine brighter than neon lights, and where simplicity holds its very own beauty.
“Small Town Lights is about the calm and safety of the close-knit life. In a world where the pace is often high, the song reminds us that there is value in appreciating the simple things – the relationships and places that shape us,” says Henrik Bank.
