Nature Of The Game

After writing over 300 songs I’m happy to report I’m still at it and still fired up to write new songs and record them with my amazing cadre of stupendous musicians.

‘Nature Of The Game‘ is the 8th single from my upcoming 8th album. A throwback to the soul music of my youth. Heartfelt old school soul r’n’b, when songs were simple, unabashed, romantic, with heart-on-your-sleeve messages that were drenched in silky soulful grooves. The protagonist tries to persuade his lover to join him in the bliss that will surely follow if she takes their relationship one step further. Enjoy! ~ Allan Thomas

The new single features the great Steely Dan and Toto drummer Keith Carlock, James Taylor bassist Jimmy Johnson, Michael Ruff on keyboards, co-writer and guitarist Chris Gibbons, and Kipp and Marky Lennon from the group Venice on backing vocals.
