Hills and Trees releases new album:
Where No One Finds Us, We Can Disappear – honest songs with presence, hope and acoustic calm
Hills and Trees – alias songwriter Martin Fabricius Buchwald – will release the new album Where No One Finds Us, We Can Disappear. The album consists of both new and reinterpreted songs, recorded with a desire to get as close to live expression as possible. The acoustic and minimalist soundscape highlights the songs’ honest stories and creates a calm, intimate atmosphere.
After several years of hiatus from music, Hills and Trees emerged as a new chapter – a musical sanctuary where authenticity and personal integrity are paramount. Martin writes based on his own experiences and experiences as a relative of mental illness, and his songs revolve around topics such as loneliness, restlessness, love, climate concern and hope.
The album is a showdown with the polished pop sound – and an honest take on how songwriting can feel both private and universal at the same time.
About Hills and Trees:
Hills and Trees is the musical alias of Martin Fabricius Buchwald from Korsør. He debuted in 2012 under a different name and released two albums and an EP before putting his music on the shelf in 2019.
Four years later, the songs returned – and with them a new approach: Now Martin releases music on his own terms, with vulnerability, self-irony and a good dose of hope.
