Nanna Larsen & Ivan Pedersen: New album Go With Grace – out September 15, 2025

What songs do you write when your loved one is moving on?

That question became very real for Nanna Larsen & Ivan Pedersen during the making of their second album Go With Grace, released digitally on Monday, September 15, 2025. The release will be marked by a major fall tour of more than 20 concerts across Denmark – including Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen on September 21.

A focus track in the shadow of love
The album’s focus track, A Tree in the Wood, is about the strength and vulnerability that arise when you suddenly find yourself left behind. The song was written in the wake of Ivan Pedersen’s personal loss earlier this year, when his wife passed away.

“A Tree in the Wood is, in many ways, a song about finding peace in something larger than yourself. About being connected – both to those we’ve lost and to everything that remains,” says Nanna Larsen.

From breakthrough debut to deeper journey
Nanna Larsen & Ivan Pedersen debuted in 2022 with the album Fortunate, which was named Album of the Week on DR P5 and sent several singles into heavy rotation. The successful debut led to two nationwide tours and laid a strong foundation for the duo’s musical collaboration.

With Go With Grace, they take the next step. The album revolves around life’s big themes – love and loss, faith and doubt, memories and community. It is a collection of songs that feels like real conversations set to music, carried by two voices meeting in a rare balance of experience and renewal.

An organic and intimate soundscape
The album was produced with a focus on an acoustic and organic expression, where hand-played instruments, vocals, and lyrics are at the center. Inspiration comes from the americana and folk/pop tradition – with influences such as Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell. The result is a soundscape where intimacy is paramount, and every note draws the listener closer.

A life in music
For Ivan Pedersen, the work on Go With Grace carries a special resonance. In 2026, he can celebrate 60 years on the professional stage – a career spanning rock and pop, and now the singer/songwriter tradition in his duo with Nanna Larsen. The collaboration with Nanna is at once a new chapter and a continuation of a life dedicated to music.

Fall Tour 2025
With the new album in hand, the duo embarks on an extensive Danish tour from September. Audiences can look forward to intimate concerts where A Tree in the Wood and the other songs from Go With Grace unfold – delivered with the mixture of groundedness, personality, and universal themes that have become Nanna Larsen & Ivan Pedersen’s trademark.
