Les is more…

The Los Angeles based singer Leslie Smith was born in Detroit on 28th September 1949.

Together with the bass player Peter Bunetta he started the He started the group “Crackin'” and they released their first album “Crackin’- I” (1975) followed by “Makings Of A Dream”(1977), “Crackin'”(1977) and “Special Touch”(1978). At the second album the band was joined by Rick Chudacoff.

Due to the success of their work with Robbie Dupree on his solo albums the producers Peter Bunetta and Rick Chudacoff did get a production deal with Elektra Records to make the “Heartache” album, the debut from Leslie Smith. The album was released in 1982 and contains cover versions of Airplay’s “Nothin’ You Can Do About It” & Ned Doheny’s “Love’s A Heartache”.

After the release Leslie Smith did a lot of studio works, live gigs etc. and in Europe he toured with Michael Ruff Band and around that time he also started to work on his next album. In 1992 the next release “Les Is More” were ready, this time an album with cover of 10 classic AOR songs.
