licence

Swedish band with big influence from the west coast music…

Their music were influenced by Airplay and the typical production style from Jay Graydon around 79 to 81. The swedish group Licence released their first album in 1981 on the Signatur label. Behind Licence were six talented musicians and the music had a big touch of west coast style with great vocal arrangement, and the outstanding guitarist Jana Persson.

In 1983 the second album “Inga Granser” hit the streets, released by Leon Music. Again a fantastic album in the same west coast style.

After the second release the band disbanded. 2 members from Licence did stick together and many years after the singer Bjorn Strom and the bassplayer of Thomas Axelsson founded the groups Fingerprints and West Of Sunset.

In 2010 the Swedish label Zink Music reissued the first album “Högt Spel” with a couple of bonus tracks.
