Composer/Arranger/Producer/Drummer/Keyboard player originally from Christchurch, New Zealand but now reside in Sydney, Australia.
Kere Buchanan have toured and recorded with many artists both in New Zealand and Australia and other parts of the world, artists like Tina Arena, Marcia Hines, Kasey Chambers, Rick Price, Margaret Urlich, Wendy Matthews, and Doug Parkinson amongst many others.
Beside the studio works and touring as sideman, own band projects: Bodacious Cowboys (the music of Steely Dan), Back On The Block (the music of Quincy Jones) & a new band in the throws to be called Blue Desert (the music of the West Coast/LA).
The first solo project Kerosene with his co-writing partner Glenn Bidmead released the album “Art Of Survival” in 2006 (available on CDBaby and iTunes). This was followed up by the solo album “Starting Over” that was released in 2009 and later reissued by Vivid Sound in Japan in 2011.
In 2014 the 3rd solo album featuring Bill Champlin (ex Chicago) on vocals, Robbie Buchanan (Al Jarreau, Randy Crawford, Chaka Khan, George Benson) on keyboards & Louie Shelton (Lionel Ritchie, Seals & Crofts, Boz Scaggs, Kenny Rogers) on guitars and several Australian studio musician. The album titled “Goodbye Yesterday” with artwork by Marc Jordan.
